He gets up and stretches, he puts on his suit and tie and leaves for school on his way to the school he stops and gets his large mocha with extra whip cream and caramel from Starbucks. When he gets to school he unlocks his classroom and writes instructions on the board and and re-arranges his desks into groups for the school day. By the time second period ends he is already tired of students not doing their work; he has given out so many tutoring slips that his hand hurts. The next five periods are not much better. The final howl sounds and he takes a deep breath, then he starts figuring out what he will teach to his students tomorrow. Finally, he can leave, but what happens next?
Lots of students want to know, what do teachers do after school? What is their life outside of school like? Well, we are about to find out what teachers do after school. Nina Jerro says, “ I think teachers go home and grade our papers. Also I think they go hang out with other teachers and gossip about their students.”
You see teachers are not that different than students, and most teachers have almost the same routine as some students. For example Mrs. Builderback says, “ I go home and clean my house before I go to relax.” What you think? Don’t most students have to do chores and homework before they can watch TV or play video games? The answer is YES, they do and so do teachers. Mrs. Gonzalez supports that point when she says “ I go home and clean, then I spend time with my dog then read if I have time.”
Teachers are not that different then students when they are at school and at home. To address the topic, Teachers at at home and teachers at school are pretty much the same people except for one big difference. Teachers at Samueli Academy are way better than teachers at other schools whether they are at school or at home.
