As we all know it’s the end of a semester but we still have another one to go. So shall we recollect some of this year’s most memorable events?
The first dance to kick off the beginning of this semester and the first dance for the Freshman of Samueli Academy. The dance had a professional DJ and pizza provided to them for free. “The best part of the carnival dance was the free pizza, because I was pretty hungry” says Jacob Terry.
The School’s Name Change:
Formerly known as The Academy but now it’s known as Samueli Academy. It was changed to show appreciation to our school’s biggest supporters, Henry and Susan Samueli.
Some students liked the name change because it was interesting. “I thought it was appropriate to change the name because of how much the Samueli family contributed to the school,” said Eric Flores, a Freshman. They have made the idea of this school come to life.
The Madhouse Dance:
Lot’s of students had a great time going to The Madhouse Dance because the new building provided the maze this year. “The dance was really fun because all of people went and they put a lot of work into the Haunted House,” said Yadha, a Freshman. The maze was themed “Apocalyptic Hospital” so students would go to the front entrance of the building and exit out the side door. “The maze wasn’t scary as I expected, but still it was entertaining” says Antonio Saavedra.
These fun events bring the firewolf family together to cheer. “I think they’re fun because it takes time away from class and it keeps people entertained” says Joanna Medina.
What a great semester this has been. Lets make the next one even better!
