October 28th is the Halloween Dance at Samueli and it’s time for the students, teachers, and staff members to have a good time! The Halloween Dance is a time for you and your friends to have fun and let loose! But you should also know that it’s a fundraiser for the seniors. At the Halloween Dance, you can talk with your friends, dance, and attempt to get through the haunted maze.
Jailene Mendoza, a senior in ASB, strongly recommends students go to the Halloween Dance because it’s an opportunity to get together in a safe place. Jailene Mendoza says, “It’s a way to hang out with your friends in like a safe environment. It’s a way to let loose, have fun, and it brings people closer together.”
Annie Agustin, a senior in ASB, believes having a Halloween Dance is a great idea because dances are a huge part of obtaining a high school experience. Also, for the Halloween Dance you get to wear a costume and participate in the costume contest. There will be prizes, so wear your best costume! She continues with, “...kids like to go to dances and everybody knows that dances are a big part of the high school experience. It’s not just a regular dance, it’s a dance where you get to dress up in YOUR costume and we’re having a costume contest….”
Miss. Marquez expects the Halloween Dance to be fun like it has been in previous years. They have gone above and beyond with scary decorations, different types of music, food, photo booths, activities, and the haunted house. She explains that the purpose of the Halloween dance is, “ The opportunity to get together and have fun wearing costumes.”
The Halloween Dance will be fun to go to because you can dance, talk, and go through the haunted maze with your friends. The Halloween Dance is a time for students, teachers, and staff members to have fun. But don't forget that it's also a fundraiser for the seniors. Watch out when you go through the maze, and don’t pee in your pants!
