Community Night was on October 5th and it’s important for parents, staff, and students to come and get information on the school. Also, to be aware of what's going on at Samueli Academy. So come join us at Community Night!
ASB students work over one month to make Community Night happen and they keep agendas in order to keep everything on pace. “The most struggling thing when it comes to making a Community Night happen,” as Violeta Vega, the ASB President, says, “would be getting everybody on the same page. We create agendas, and we create times for people to be in certain places and having really good communication.” At times, it can be difficult to make Community Night happen, but the ASB students seem to overpass the difficultness and make it happen. Together, they provide food, movies, and get the performances together.
In previous Community Nights, students have gotten closer with each other by using communication. Valerie Bravo, a former ASB student, says, “It could get a little frustrating, but most of the time we work together, so I think that teamwork really creates that bond because at the same time, it's not just one person in charge, it's like everyone together.” The more teamwork they do, makes the bond stronger causing them to get along better and better.
So, come to Community Night! Parents get to know the teachers and students get to be more aware of what is going on at the school. See you at the next Community Night!
