Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, Pam Shambra, the Capital Campaign Director of Samueli Academy, studied at Louisiana State University for two years, then graduated from Loyola University, New Orleans. Besides her work she loves cooking, hiking, gardening, and photography.

Even if you only start studying 3 weeks before the test, there’s many things you can do to be prepared. This year students can take the tests for AP Spanish, English and Composition, Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, United States History, or European History and some are taking more than 3 of the tests. Since even sophomores are allowed to take AP’s this year, some students from almost all grade levels will be taking tests.

In May, all Freshman will have to choose whether they will want follow the Design pathway or the Engineering pathway. These pathways were created to give students a set of distinct skill when they graduate. With both having many amazing qualities and benefits it may be had to actually choose, but there may be some components of engineering that may convince you to choose it.

Many students and faculty are always so excited for their Break to come, but when it finally gets here they don’t know how to spend it wisely. So at the end of the break, they only end up in regrets for not doing fun things. For students at Samueli Academy, Spring Break starts at the end of the school day on Friday April 1 to Monday April 11.
