Valentine’s Day is a day full of love, not that I would know what that is. Anywho, you may not want to be sitting home all day and watching Netflix. While there’s nothing wrong with that, there are so many things to enjoy.
The options of fun are endless. Whether you’re single or as taken as a bacon (another reason I’m single, my bad jokes), there’s something to do. There’s no reason to wallow at home all day, find a way to have fun.
Alexsander Alarcon, freshmen, said, “I wouldn’t do anything special, everyday should be treated like Valentine’s Day.” Freshman Luis Vasquez agrees adding, “I’m probably just going to sit in bed, eat ice cream, and watch Netflix.” Many people may think this is the case and that it’s very overrated. That doesn’t mean you don’t have to do something, you can still go out and celebrate with your friends. If you want to do something on this day, go out with the people you love most. Go rollerskating and just enjoy your friends falling on their butts, enjoy the people you’re lucky to have with you. Valentine’s Day is all about love, that doesn’t mean it has to be exclusive to your boyfriend or girlfriend, it can be towards your best friends too. Who knows, while you’re out you might meet someone, probably not.
Otherwise for people who are taken and have someone to call their bacon, you might want to do something extra. Josue said,” It’s just fun to spend a day with your best friend,” referring to his girlfriend. A fun way to celebrate it is to go with your significant other on a date. Whether it be to the movies or just going out to dinner, there is no way not to have fun. However, Josue is just a freshman, with a more seniored point of view, Valentine’s Day expert, Mr Perez knows all about this special day because he’s been with his wife a long time. Having many Valentine’s Day experiences, he wanted to share his thoughts. “In all honesty, it’s an advertisement holiday. But, I would do anything for my wife.” Usually, he takes her out to dinner but he always does little things for her each day. Whether it be making her breakfast or reminding her he loves her, it’s the little things that count.
In the end, Valentine’s Day is a day to enjoy and take advantage of. There’s so many things to do. If you decide to go to dinner, go out with your friends, or just enjoy the day at home by yourself, Valentine’s Day should be a night to remember. While all of you are out having the time of your life, I’ll be at home cuddling with my favorite piece of bacon(my weiner dog).
