The first thing that most people do in the mornings is get a cup of coffee as their breakfast and leave to work or to school. Usually, when people have a morning routine every morning, it can lead to addiction.
When someone has an addiction with coffee or anything, they tend to have be compulsive or loses control. When it comes to coffee, people who are addicted to it, cannot live without coffee. If they don't have coffee in the mornings, their day is ruined. That is not good. That is one reason why people should not drink coffee so often.
Alea Martino, a freshman, said, “The one reason why I don't drink coffee is because you can get addicted to it and i don't feel like getting a headache when I don't drink it.”
Many times we don't look for other ways to get energy, besides making or buying coffee. What if people replace coffee with a homemade, healthy smoothie? It`s quick and at the same time easy to make.
“Smoothies help me get ready for the day,” said Marieanne Paniagua, freshman. She gets the energy boost she needs that way: “I prefer smoothies, because coffee will give me more energy than what is needed and it will make me stay up longer and i need my sleep.”
Coffee drinkers could say, “I don't have time in the mornings.” That is no excuse! A professional woman who makes many smoothies or juices says that the smoothies can last 24 hours. Why not do it at night and keep it refrigerated to just grab it the next day?

Many people around the world prefer coffee over anything else. A question for all the coffee addicts out there: Have you ever gotten an energy swing? After drinking cups of coffee, people start being very hyperactive and then they are very sleepy and tired. Being addicted to coffee is a cycle that people enter when drinking it. First, they start of drinking a cup of coffee, they get large amounts of energy, they get tired, they have another cup of coffee for “backup” and the cycle repeats until they can't live without it.
In an article by Fawne Hansen, a wellness coach who specializes in the treatment of chronic stress and adrenal fatigue, she said that the moment someone drinks coffee, “the brain sends a message to the pituitary gland a kind of stress response that the body will use when someone is in a imminent physical danger.” Being stressed is not a very comfortable feeling. Break the cycle, and replace that stress with the calm energy of a morning smoothie.
