"I love lips and gloss and working with these products," Kylie Jenner says. "There is a big up trend with lip liner, and I make my own. It is my passion."
On some of the interviews Kylie has stated that she has waited over two years to release her own lip kits. All her life she has been in love with lipsticks and lipliners.
In late November, 2015 her first lip kits were sold, they sold out within 10 minutes. The first colors she sold were Dolce K, Candy K,and True Brown. In total she has sold about 8 different lip shades: Kourt K, Candy K, Dolce K, Koko K, Posie K, Mary Jo K, 22, True Brown K. Jessica Villela, Junior, asks, “I wonder if she’s ever going to sell more than just lipsticks and lipliners?”
"..., I am expanding my lip kits and developing new products like eye shadow, eye liner, concealer and bronzer," Jenner says. This is a great news for her fans who have gotten ahold of a Kylie Lip Kit and really love the results. She promised her fans that she will be restocking every week or every other week.
Citlally Rodriguez, Sophomore, wonders,” I wonder what she’s naming her lipsticks after.” Like many other fans, were all wondering where she getting all the names from and why she naming them like that.
She reveals that Koko K is named after her half-sister Khloe Kardashian, and another of her lipsticks called Mary Jo K is named after her grandmother. She also named her lipstick Dolce K after one of her childhood dogs and her latest lip kit release was named after her other half-sister Kourtney Kardashian. Lipstick 22 was named after her favorite number, Posie K was named after her fans. Her other lipstick is named Candy, she explains that she named it that because in her childhood that was her nickname, and her True Bown K was inspired by her make-up artist Joyce Bonelli.
What’s so amazing about this product is the fact that her brand does not test products on animals. She knows that it's really important to her fans that her products are cruelty-free products so it's great relief to them to know that her products are animal-friendly. But like many other matte lipsticks they make your lips dry, well one little tip Kylie gives us is always carry a chapstick on you, just incase you need a little moist after you put on the lipstick.
On March 28, 2016 when she had promised all her fans she was going to restock, Kylie jenner posted a story on her snapchat questioning if she has just broken Google. In the email that was sent out, it stated that Kylie had broken Google analytics, there was over 200,000 people on the website and Google couldn't handle it.
“The day they restocked I hurried home. I rushed to my room and sat on my desk, anticipating the moment at which the lip kits would be released. I had been dying to get my hands on any Kylie cosmetic product, I wasn’t going to let anything get in the way. At approximately 4 pm, I refreshed Kylie's website,kyliecosmetics.com. The moment the clock hit 4 I was so excited because they were finally restocking the product. As I clicked “ Add to Cart”, the website shut down. All my efforts, hopes, and dreams went straight down the drain. I tried once more and as one could guess, the lip kits were all sold out.”
