Fall is here, leaves are falling and trends are calling. One thing many seem to love about Fall is the fashion. Clean out your closet and put those shorts away, it’s about to get cold. Although sweatshirt and sweatpants are comfortable, you should probably try to switch it up with new Fall trends.
Karlie Kloss’s outfit screams Fall to me and I’ll tell you why. Karlie is wearing basic black boots that are very popular in the Fall time. They are a must have. You can add boots to your look to add something new. Karlie also has on a simple pair of jeans which you most likely have in your closet and can use for an outfit. The thing that stands out the most is the bold red bomber jacket. Since it’s Fall the weather is all gloomy and depressing but that doesn’t mean you have to dress like it! Add a pop of color to your outfit and work it. Don’t forget the messy bun to give off the “I didn’t try today look” even though you ripped through your closet and spent 35 minutes having a breakdown while trying on clothes. Now you know how a celebrity like Karlie dresses but how does a Samueli student like to dress in the Fall?
“Well, in the Fall I’ll wear sweatshirts and sweatpants.” said Alexsander Alarcon. I see a lot of people at Samueli in sweatshirts and sweatpants, which I wear on the daily, so this definitely a look to try. Alex also said that he does not like when girls try to take guys sweatshirts in the Fall because they’re “cold”. “I think it’s my sweater, not yours.” So, don’t plan on asking him for his sweatshirt anytime soon ladies.
Although students and other people have somewhat simple fashion trends, the fashion industry goes all out with the expensive prices, excess of fur, and zippers. Canada goose created a couture parka that would be perfect for Fall, if you’re rich and want to look very puffy. This definitely is a parka to wear if you want to go all out. But, if you’re like me and want to stay in your comfortable sweatshirt and sweatpants, then do it.
