We all know and heard of the tradition practiced in the beginning of the year that lasts to the next year. Of course, this wish does not come true for most people, especially if it’s so common that there is a day for it, “Ditch New Year's Resolution Day.”
This isn’t always true, because Ethan Doyer has been able to do multiple resolutions. While some people come clean for falling in this trap, and stopped participating in such an activity. Karina Padilla claims to not participate in the news resolution. This student even stopped the participating in new year’s resolutions, because she says that she’ll break her word in the first week.
When we think of honesty and trust, we least to suspect that we lie to ourselves when day 17 hits. You won’t be surprised of how many people will stop doing the promise they told themselves. Karina mentioned that she does not feel shocked that people actually have a day for this, and even explained how people might stop even sooner.
But does this occur with the difficulty of the resolutions. When we are all excited, we get big eyes and try to make impossible promises to ourselves. That explains why some people don’t resolutions at all. What people don’t realize is that making small goals can lead to much larger goals overtime. So, what are we possibly missing in not doing resolutions?
Well, these resolution are no different from any other besides the fact you do in the beginning of the year. There are several reasons why we use the goal method to maintain our health.
What we miss that is very effective, is that resolutions help us by getting work done. A prime example is the Great Wall of China. The Great Wall, was forged by a goal set and accomplished brick by brick. If we envision the bricks as smaller goals, we’ll receive a large profit at the end of the year.Another way resolutions can help us is being the light in the dark. Creating goals can be guide away from being overwhelmed by the obstacles in life such as, homework, time, and money.
