Want to see a new twist to a scary movie? Then you should go watch “The Visit”. The movie came out September 11 and it is about a sister and brother that go to a Pennsylvania farm country to meet their maternal grandparents for the first time.
Welcomed by their grandma and grandpa, it all seems normal until the siblings start to notice increasingly strange behavior from their grandparents. Once the children discover a shocking secret, they begin to wonder if they'll ever make it home.
Ashley Martinez sophomore said, “It doesn't look like a good movie because it has a dumb plot with no meaning and because the grandma isn't scary.”
Mayleen Batres, junior, said, “The movie looks unrealistic, unappealing, and not pleasing to the eye.” Despite that first impression, the movie should be given a chance and who knows? It might make you jump out of your seat a little.
Rotten Tomatoes rated “The Visit” 87 fresh tomatoes. So far, 65% of the audience has liked the film: “The Visit provides horror fans with a satisfying blend of thrills and laughs,” says Director M. Night Shyamalan. You should grab your closest friends and go see “The Visit” this weekend at your nearest AMC Theater.
