Have you ever attended Coachella? The annual Coachella valley music and arts festival is held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California every spring. The event goes on for two weekends; this year, Coachella began on Friday, April 13, and ended on Sunday, April 23. This event features many significant musical artists from various genres, as well as many social events. Through the Coachella grounds, a couple of stages host live music. In this year’s Coachella there were performances by your favorite artists such as Cardi B, Migos, Beyonce, Miguel, and many more. There was also a surprise reunion by Destiny’s Child.
Some people would really like to experience what it’s like going to Coachella. Also, some people also like to go watch the performances that are hosted there. “Coachella is definitely on my bucket list,” says Karen Manjarrez, a freshman here are Samueli Academy. “Coachella looks like a really fun festival to go to. I’d do anything to go to Coachella,” she says.
Even if most students can’t attend due to permission, price, or distance, they are able to watch the performances online. “My favorite performance of this year's Coachella was Beyoncé, Destiny’s Child, and of course Cardi B,” says Alejandra Escalera, a freshman here at Samueli.

“I feel like ,” this student stated “I can’t really say that I’m for or against this festival because I remain neutral when it comes to Coachella,” stated an anonymous student. “I choose to remain neutral because Coachella does look like a fun festival to attend, but it can get reckless,” said this student.
In conclusion, all people have different opinions and thoughts when it comes to Coachella. Some people like the idea of going because it is fun, but some people think that Coachella is very controversial or overrated.
