Tip 1: Necessities
Grab necessary items, like your family, they can help you, water, is important for life, food, fuel your body, and most in importantly weapons, they will help you survive. Water is essential for survival. Mariana Marquez, a senior, says, “I’ll legit go to a Costco. it’s going to be a bloodbath, but I can handle it ‘cause I got weapons, right, and I would buy a bunch of water…” She really stresses the importance of Costco because it has all the essentials.
Tip 2: Transportation
For transportation, it would be better to move on foot because cars attract a lot of attention. Mr. Kalbhenn, a P.E. teacher, would, “actually be on foot.” You don't want the zombies chasing you. That’s not a good thing unless you have a plan that involves attracting attention.
Tip 3: Plan
Make a plan. Don’t go in blind. Violeta, a senior, shares “If this [plan] doesn’t go well, then let's do this instead.” She’s right to say never give up and continue making plans. That way you don’t end up doing something terrible.
Tip 4: Weapons
Weapons! You need weapons! However, try getting weapons that don’t depend on bullets. Guns are great to use in a zombie apocalypse, but if you use them, make sure you don’t run out of ammunition, or you’re in trouble. Leilani Doran, a sophomore, states that she would “mostly use a bow and arrow because if you use a gun, you’re going to eventually run out of bullets, you can always reuse the arrow.”
Tip 5: Survival Techniques
If you want to survive, “find an area that is easy to access,” recommends Ms. Marquez, a Spanish teacher. She also says to make this area your safe place and hide your weapons and food there. Definitely make sure that it’s safe and secure.
Tip 6: How to kill the Zombie
The most essential thing to know is how to kill the undead. Mr. Bell suggests, “two to the chest and one to the head, and don’t be stingy with your ammo.” If you don’t have enough ammunition then you can’t use guns anymore. But remember, headshots are key.
These were 6 tips to help you survive a zombie apocalypse. How else would you ensure your survival? Remember, as Mr. Kalbhenn would say, “BE the hunter, not the hunted.”
