Is that all there is to Red Ribbon Week? Red ribbon week is a drug and violence prevention awareness campaign observed annually in October in the United States. Is it just an activity that students participate in and have no knowledge of its history?
“No one knows the history of it and it’s upsetting,” Esau, a Samueli parent said.
Students, parents, and staff normally participate in red ribbon week across schools and offices. They decorate classrooms and participate in activities to raise awareness for red ribbon week, but do people know the history of red ribbon week?

Smoke is everywhere and there is no escape, people are crying and trying to get out of Building C. This would not be a very pretty sight. In order to prevent this we have something called safety drills. It’s important to have a plan. Ms. Doering, our Student Development Coordinator, advises “...say the alarms go off. Everybody would have to evacuate into the field.”

“Girls compete with each other, women empower one another” said by an unknown person. This quote is trying to say that as young women we are supposed to stand up for one another not putting them down. An Empowerment club is to show the confidence that you are hiding, girls have tend to keep this negativity and hide who they truly are. Now in society girls need to embrace themselves and not let the negative comments get to them.

High School consist of 4 years, suppose you do everything right, but is that last year worth it if you know that you can take a pass and go to college?
Many can disagree because we all are different and have individual pathways, but it’s possible and may be the better option of whatever you are trying to achieve as your career. This can allow apprenticeships, college classes, or even business to form.
